Jessie Fitzgerald is a Master of Social Work candidate who approaches mental health with an eclectic methodology, drawing from a variety of therapeutic frameworks including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). They have a rich background working in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, specifically focused on serious mental illness and autism spectrum disorders.
With personal experience navigating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and LGBTQ-related issues, including gender dysphoria, Jessie brings a compassionate and relatable perspective to their practice. They understand the complexities of family and childhood trauma, as well as the unique dynamics present in interracial and polyamorous relationships.
Jessie is passionate about working with diverse populations, including groups, couples, and individuals—particularly those in intimate relationships, individuals on the autism spectrum, and those experiencing significant life transitions. Their goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, fostering personal growth and resilience.
