CLINICIAN
Hi, I'm Eden!
I believe therapy works best when it feels real. What you see is what you get: I'm direct, I use humor, and I've found that pairing honesty with compassion is what actually builds trust. My hope is to create a space that feels authentic, collaborative, and relaxed. I believe lasting change grows out of a solid therapeutic relationship built over time.
I often work with clients who've felt dismissed, misunderstood, or misdiagnosed elsewhere, and part of what I love is helping people see the patterns in their own lives more clearly and making sure we are approaching therapy from the right perspective. Psychoeducation is a big part of how I work; I want you to understand not just what we're doing in session, but why it works.
My approach is eclectic and tailored to each person, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Reality Therapy, and DBT-informed skills and concepts (note: I'm not a certified DBT therapist and don't run formal DBT programs, but I weave DBT skills into sessions often).
I began my clinical career in correctional settings, providing substance use treatment for incarcerated women, and went on to work as a group therapist in Florida with individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction. Since returning to Knoxville in 2019, I've worked in substance abuse rehabilitation, psychiatric residential care, and other group practice settings before landing here at The Walk. In addition to my own client work, I'm a clinical supervisor, actively supervising pre-licensed therapists as they build their own careers in this field.
