Lauren Fugate is the Director of Operations at The Walk Counseling, where she plays an essential role in both the day-to-day functioning and long-term sustainability of the practice. Known for her exceptional attention to detail and steady presence, Lauren is deeply involved in the life of The Walk—supporting both clients and clinicians while also ensuring that every aspect of the organization runs smoothly. Her ability to hold both the big picture and the smallest details makes her an invaluable part of The Walk’s foundation.

In addition to her leadership role, Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience working with both children and adults. She brings depth and versatility to her clinical work, with experience across a wide range of settings including non-profit mental health, inpatient and outpatient facilities, and schools. Lauren is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and is known for her thoughtful, grounded approach in the therapy room.

Lauren is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor in the state of Tennessee and is deeply invested in the growth and development of other clinicians. She regularly provides supervision and leads multiple clinical consultation groups each week, creating space for connection, learning, and support among providers.
